Database Maintenance

Below is information for LECs and CLECs on provisioning customer records to the Enhanced 9-1-1 database.

Accessing the Database Management System

Access to the Database Management System has been migrated to a new web-based interface called “911NET” for daily file updates by telephone companies.

911NET, hosted by Intrado, allows telephone company users to manage their company’s customer telephone numbers and associated Master Street Address Guide (MSAG) records.  For database support, contact FairPoint Communications at the Database Management Support Center (DBMC) at 1-866-984-1610 or e-mail at FPE911DMBC@fairpoint.com.

Address Verification & MSAG Availability

The Enhanced 9-1-1 database is maintained by providing daily service order updates. LECs and CLECs are requested to MSAG validate addresses as part of their service order process so as to ensure a successful transfer to the Enhanced 9-1-1 system. To request a specific MSAG extract, please contact Intrado by email at fairpoint@intrado.com.

If an address does not validate, the carrier should contact the designated municipal Addressing Officer. Use the link below to find the name and phone number of a community's addressing officer.  Problems should be directed to the Maine GIS E9-1-1 office at 1-800-665-2830 or e-mail at megise911.gis@maine.gov

Database Error Resolution and Reporting

ALI discrepancies reported by PSAPs will be submitted to each telephone company on a daily basis in 911NET. Users can find them by using the ALI Query linkfound in the main menu of the 911NET system. Errors should be corrected within 3 business days.

If a 9-1-1 call is placed and no telephone record is found, a No Record Found report is issued by Intrado. It is forwarded to the appropriate telephone company for resolution with the Connect Mail Box. Telephone companies should correct a No Record Found error within 3 business days.
