Videos For LoanTwo videos that teach the basics about 9-1-1 are available for loan to Maine schools and public safety organizations through the Maine Criminal Justice Academy’s Library. To borrow materials, please make your requests at least 2 weeks but no more than 6 months in advance by phone at 207-877-8003.
SpeakersIf you are interested in having a 9-1-1 dispatcher make a presentation at your school, contact the Bureau by email to info911@state.me.us, or by phone, 1-888-448-3803, at least 2 weeks in advance. Make sure you tell us the name of the school, its location, contact information and the date requested (if known). The Bureau will try to match you up with a 9-1-1 educator from your area. Letter to ParentsYou may find the following letter helpful to let parents know that 9-1-1 was taught in your classroom. Many parents are still unaware of the availability of 9-1-1 service in Maine or about its proper use. It also refers them to this web site for more information.
